No. On the App Store WatchBar is a one-time $0.99 purchase; on Google Play it is free. No subscriptions, no ads, no in-app purchases on either.
Yes. WatchBar for Android is free on Google Play for Android 8.0 and later, with the same generator, scanner, PLU database, widgets, and export tools as the iPhone app. The Wear OS companion is coming soon — it is built, but not part of the first release.
On iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, yes — through your own private iCloud (CloudKit). It's on by default, and you can turn it off in Settings. On Android there is no cloud sync: your data stays on your phone (and, once the Wear OS companion ships, syncs to your watch over Bluetooth). To move a library between devices, use Export and then Import. There's no separate WatchBar account on either platform.
No account, no ads, no cross-app tracking. To fix crashes, the phone apps send anonymous diagnostics through Firebase Crashlytics — device model, OS version, and crash logs. Scanning happens entirely on your device. The full details are in the privacy policy.
